Well, what a start to the new season, 2 goals away from home 3 points and 4,000 Argyle fans in attendance. It started a bit shakily for Argyle with Reading in the ascendency and Lita looking dangerous. Argyle soaked up early pressure and took the lead through Micky Evans after a neat cross from Brevett on 21 minutes.
Reading pressed further and it took a great save from Larrieu to keep Argyle in front at half time. More beer and a delishhh Balti Pie and back for the 2nd half.
Reading, as expected were at Argyle but Argyle almost snatched a second when Akos Buszaky was through on goal but his tame shot was easily saved..then the otherwise solid back for became breached as Lita powered home a header to make it 1-1..
With Reading now throwing everything at the Pilgrims and the tension showing on the fans faces as they shouted for a change to the playing staff..with a minute to go Williamson brought on Chadwick who made an instant impression by scoring Argyle's winner to the delight of the 4,000 fans who made the trip to Madjeski.
Back 4 were solid, Midfied inspirational, especially Akos and forwards did their job well..

Final score Reading 1 Argyle 2

Ye Greens!!
